As I watched my grandson struggle with his veggies, I thought of this poem:
I Love a Bean
by Debra C. Barnes
I love a bean!
pinto
navy
red or green
snap
string
some with spring
(funny bumping jumping bean)
kidney
lima
I'm a fan
of pork and beans right from
the can!
Boston
cocoa
wax and pea
I'm full of beans from a to z!
butter
chili
French and soy
but the beans I most enjoy
as they tumble to my belly . . .
are jelly!

This is delightful. There has been much bean eating in this house as of late!
I should give this funny poem to my kids who also struggle with the eating of beans, vegetables, and other healthy, non-candy items! : )
I think I love all those beans BETTER than Jelly! I eat about a handful of jelly beans a year at Easter - they are not my favorite. The author just missed edamame beans!
