Bandera, Texas to Des Moines, Iowa, back to Bandera, Texas!

Elaine and her great grandson! Hard to believe, but there he is, Matthew Manuel!

My sister Elaine and I took a road trip from Bandera, Texas to Des Moines, Iowa and back. Our first stop was to visit her son Mark and his family. We had a delightful time with them! And of course it never occurred to me to take some pictures! Sorry. We visited Mark's office at Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX where he's a prof in the engineering department, and enjoyed that so much.

From there we visited Uncle Leon, our mother's brother, who is 94, living in a senior center, with his own little apartment. He still drives, is a delightful and fun person and we had SUCH a good time with him! He excitedly introduced us to all his friends at the senior center, and we enjoyed a delicious evening meal and breakfast with him. It truly was a blessing to spend a little time with him!

Next stop, Des Moines to visit Aunt Loretha and Aunt Helen, as well as a lot of other people! It was so good to see them, and see how God is taking care of all their needs.

We enjoyed a meal together at Aunt Loretha's house. Jon and Nita Beran came over from Chicago and also provided much of the delicious meal. Friend Dawna Ray and cousin Lois also provided enough food to last us three meals!

Again, my camera got stuck in my purse, so I didn't get good pictures, but did manage to catch Aunt Loretha and Lois enjoying the meal. Glenn is on the right.

Here's Glenn again with his friend Marilyn. They brought over delicious cake from Cedar Rapids to help finish off the meal.

We visited Del and Linda Mohler while in Des Moines. What a delightful visit and delicious meal we enjoyed with them and their family! I wish we could have stayed longer!

Daughter Grace with her three nephews. They definitely vote her in as the perfect auntie!

Daughter Libby and hubby Josh are parents of those three cute little guys. They "happened" to be in town - it was SO NICE to see them!
