Yesterday we had a good bye party for Scott and Ruth Yingling, their five kids and Beverly Kendal, who will be moving to the States within the next couple months. Scott and Ruth were part of the team that started the Abundant Life Bible Church and they will be missed!

Yadhira, one of the first believers in the church, gave some words of tribute to the Yinglings. I'm sure many more would have loved to share, but time didn't permit, and besides, everyone was hungry! The ladies all prepared typical Mexican food to be enjoyed by all. I brought four cakes, which were eaten, down to the last crumb!

Hector Villanueva and his wife Angie joined us from Queretaro. They were part of the team that would come to San Juan before there was a church, to visit, give out tracts, start Bible studies, etc.

Edith, who is a part of our church, makes beautiful baskets. She created these turtle baskets for the Yinglings and Beverly. We would have loved to get her in the picture as well, but it would have taken a crowbar! She's extremely shy and didn't even want it known that she made them!
